Over the years I have tried various different forms of exercise class; dance, step, aerobics – do any of you remember “feel the burn”? (Yes, I know that dates me). I’ve also had ponies, horses and dogs at various times over the last 40 years so I’ve been fairly fit at times. Sadly the equines are no longer and the present dog is at the age when walking is not her highest priority. So when Adele mentioned that she was running Nordic Walking classes I thought “the all-over body work out in the great outdoors, what more could you want?” I’ve always enjoyed walking so I began Nordic Walking with Adele in August 2014 and found it to be a lot of fun, but with definite health benefits. I am certainly a lot fitter than I have been for a long time. I became a walk leader for Adele in July 2015. I have met a lot of lovely new people, all enjoying the benefits of Nordic Walking in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside and the enthusiasm of my fellow walkers makes my role as a walk leader a real pleasure.
