Offering a unique prescription for a healthy lifestyle with a combination of Nordic Walking classes and weight management advice. Classes are fun, friendly and cater for people of all ages, shapes and fitness levels.
Instructor Adele has experience in nutrition support and weight management since 2003 and has been Nordic Walking since 2013, helping hundreds of people lose weight, get fitter or a combination of both!
Exercising in the great outdoors has so many benefits so why not come along to your local walk and you will be given a warm and friendly welcome; starting your journey of well-being with a group of like-minded, passionate and supportive people.

Adele Howlett – Instructor

Hi, I am Adele and I have been a Fitness Instructor since 2003 focusing on fitness & weight management classes in and around South Bucks. In 2009 I suffered injury to my knee and foot, which subsequently needed surgery. I began to search for other forms of exercise, discovered Nordic Walking and became totally hooked. Using the poles really helped stability, keeping pressure off the joints whilst maintaining posture which was essential for a good recovery.

In 2014 I started Harmony Nordic Walking and offer a variety of walks for different abilities based around High Wycombe in the fabulous Chilterns. I have a trained, professional team to support me sharing my passion to exercise outdoors, improving fitness, health and well being, all whilst having fun. Helen Speakman – Instructor

I started Nordic walking about two years ago after completing one of Adele’s early ” Learn to” classes and have walked weekly ever since, having completely fallen in love with the activity. I really enjoy being outdoors in the glorious Buckinghamshire countryside, have made some wonderful friends, lost weight, reduced my blood pressure to the point of coming off medication and feel fitter, younger and more confident as a result. I attended the Nordic Walking Festival 2015 in Seville and that fabulous experience was the impetus to decide to train as an Instructor. I completed my training recently and will be working alongside Adele taking classes and leading walks for Harmony Nordic Walking and I look forward to sharing my passion with you soon.


Lin Rudd – Walk Leader

When I retired back in July 2014 I wanted to find some sort of exercise, now that I
had all this “free” time on my hands, so joined a keep fit class instructed by Adele.
Shortly after joining, Adele said she was branching into “Nordic Walking”.  I love walking so gave it a go. Walking with poles is very different to ordinary walking
– much better in fact. I now walk 3 times a week through terrains I never knew
existed in High Wycombe!
In 2015 I became a Walk Leader and nearly two years on, I am fitter, lost weight and changed shape – all for the better through Nordic Walking There are many different levels of walking to suit everyone. Its great to be out in the open, meet lovely people and most importantly, you enjoy yourself!

Marion Harvey – Walk Leader

I’d attended aerobic classes run by Adele for many years and when she announced she was offering Nordic Walking classes I joined one of her first sessions and haven’t looked back.  In summer 2015 the opportunity came up to train as a Walk Leader so I took it and since then have enjoyed being able to lead groups on behalf of Adele across the Wycombe area.  Exercising outdoors in a group using Nordic poles gives a total body workout, burns calories, improves stamina and is great fun.  Add to this being outdoors and witnessing the changing seasons of our beautiful Chiltern countryside what is there not to love?  Bad weather? …. No, just the wrong clothing!”

Ruth Moir – Walk Leader

Over the years I have tried various different forms of exercise class; dance, step, aerobics – do any of you remember “feel the burn”? (Yes, I know that dates me). I’ve also had ponies, horses and dogs at various times over the last 40 years so I’ve been fairly fit at times. Sadly the equines are no longer and the present dog is at the age when walking is not her highest priority. So when Adele mentioned that she was running Nordic Walking classes I thought “the all-over body work out in the great outdoors, what more could you want?” I’ve always enjoyed walking so I began Nordic Walking with Adele in August 2014 and found it to be a lot of fun, but with definite health benefits. I am certainly a lot fitter than I have been for a long time. I became a walk leader for Adele in July 2015. I have met a lot of lovely new people, all enjoying the benefits of Nordic Walking in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside and the enthusiasm of my fellow walkers makes my role as a walk leader a real pleasure.
